The Incredible Shrinking Diva...It's been a minute since I've blogged and shared my P.I.N.K. Diamonds Fitness Club progression! Well, as you can see I'm "shrinking" down to size! LOL! I've joined Blink Fitness here in NYC and have been committed to working out weekly for the last month! I'm so happy of my very noticeable difference! LOL! I just said to myself once I celebrated another birthday on October 10th that enough is enough and I need to get this weight off for good! I have been huffing and puffing going up and down the subway stairs as well as walking up hills to the train station every day. My goal is to get down to a size 8-10 by July 2014! I want to take my Phyllis Hyman tribute to BROADWAY and look a close to Phyllis Hyman at the beginning of her career when she was most happy.

I know I can do this and I can no longer make excuses and not give 100% when it comes to my health! I'm sharing this because many of you are going through the same thing of putting off until tomorrow to join a gym, change your eating habits and taking better care of your health. Take it from me someone who has been in denial about her weight tipping the scale at 300 pounds and wearing a size 24W bottoms that were tight on my hips and thighs!

I'm now at 280 lbs and wearing a size 18-22 bottoms and "shrinking!" LOL! I would love for you to

Today's Diva's Diamonds:

It's a New Season, It's a New Day...Today is the first day of Autumn!!! Ahhhh! I LOVE this time of year because of so many reasons! Number one my birthday is on October 10th! YAY! Number two the change in the weather is so amazing from hot to cool to crisp here in NYC! Number three school starts and just the feeling of new beginnings and a fresh start is in the air! I keep hearing the song, "It's a New Season, It's a New Day by Israel Houghton in my head as I write this post. I'm sure I've shared this song before on this blog but for some reason I really believe many of you reading this blog need to understand the importance of preparing for a new season both in temperature and in your life!

One thing about seasons is that there are two things that will happen....It will change and it will come! So it is very important to prepare for the new season so that you will be ready for what is to come. For example, the new season in weather you can no longer wear shorts and tank tops if the weather calls for sweaters and long pants. Now in your life, if God is telling you to let go of a relationship, or pause that relationship and work on you or begin a new relationship then it is time to do so because God already knows the end result and HE is just conditioning you for what is to come. Let me make another example, you know that Fall is right around the corner but you have not bought any sweaters, pants, scarves or jackets for the cool weather that is on the way. Then one morning you are getting ready to walk out the door and you neglected to check the weather and you are caught by surprise of a cold front that came in last night. You have no choice but to go back in the house and try to layer up clothes that you have and protect yourself from the weather until you are able to buy clothes that are appropriate for the new season. The same thing goes for new seasons in your life. You can no longer hold on to something that God is clearly telling you to let go or close. Or if you are trying to rush a season into happening buy trying to make someone ready for a promotion, relationship, position or item that he/she may not be mentally, emotionally or spiritually ready to handle yet. They may know about it and have rehearsed some things in their head or prayed about it but they are not ready to walk into what is before them just yet and if you are trying to rush them it will be a bigger mess that can be even beyond your control to fix. BUT GOD!

I'm here to share with you the importance of preparation for a new season and be ready for the change. You already know that there are FOUR seasons, Winter-Spring-Summer-Autumn, but just because you know what they are and that they are coming that you will be ready for the season when it arrives. I'm speaking to you reading this post that YOU can not longer wait for the season to arrive to get ready. God is tired of seeing you struggle and getting it together at the last minute. It is time for YOU to prepare ahead of time so that you can just walk into your new season with confidence and prepared for the change. YOU will have more time to do other things that are more important than catching up because you already know the seasons will come. It is now time for YOU to Be Ye Ready!

I am right there with you! God has been really on me about preparation, not rushing others and be still once the preparation is done for the season to arrive. That is hard for me because I want things NOW!! LOL! Don't we all? But as we grow up and mature it is now time to be at peace right where we are and be ready as the Word of God says, In season and Out of season!

It's Time To Birth That Dream Of Yours OUT!!! As Labor Day comes to a close here in America I tend to think more about labor pains of a woman "birthing" out a child more so than working for a living! I think because I have been on my spiritual journey for the last 9 years growing closer to God daily through prayer and reading the Holy Bible and now teaching and preaching to God's lambs and sheep more and more in Brooklyn. Those of you that have been following my progression since I started this blog in 2010 have seen my elevation. Everything from the being a beauty queen to national ambassador to becoming a covergirl on magazines to preaching at my new home church in Brooklyn, NYC! I never would have imagined this is where I would be nor what I would be doing! I keep hearing over and over in my spirit "It's Time To Birth That Dream Of Yours OUT!!!"

I've been putting off so many things because it will take so much planning and preparation. It will take sacrifice, discipline and dedication. It will take patience, wisdom and knowledge that I will have to both get from others and draw from within myself. I've known for the last 4 or  5 years but I've just gotten busy with other things that would not require much from myself and I could just get done right away. But God says, "It's time my Daughter!" I have several books! That I must get to writing, songs that I have inside of me that are bursting to be written and projects that I've put on hold because it would require putting my all into them to create something of excellence!

How many of you have done the same thing? Put things off and blamed having children, debt, age, weight, relationship, education or lack there of for not "birthing out" something that God told you to do! Well, in this ninth month of 2013 I'm hear to tell you it's TIME TO BIRTH OUT YOUR DREAMS....STARTING TODAY!!!! Don't look at this page with your eyes and mouth open! I'm talking to you who have put off going back to school, getting a cosmetology license, Driver's license, CPA certification, Tax ID for your business, computer to make movies and videos, music software to write songs, real estate license to sell property or just getting your GED just show yourself and your family that you can finish what you started!

NOW IS THE TIME TO START ON YOUR DREAMS!!! You have held on to this pregnancy long enough!!! It's time to birth your DREAMS out NOW!!! I'm right there with you, P.I.N.K. Diamonds!!! We have to get this going!!! The world will not be blessed by our finished work if we do not finish the WORK/LABOR!!!

I want you to share with me what is your dream and what are you doing to make it a reality no matter how far fetched it sounds or impossible it may seem because if it keeps coming back that means it was meant to be a reality!!! God places these dreams inside of us to be fulfilled so that God an be glorified in your success! Your dreams are God's dreams and HE wants you to be successful and fulfill your dreams!

I promise to give you an update more often if you will do the same!

I Will Make Your Name Great...I have been on my incredible journey for 9 years and God has taken me from Houston to New Orleans to Chicago to Cincinnati to Conroe to San Antonio to Greenville to New York City! I've never paid for my tickets whether it was a bus or plane entirely. There was always someone who sowed into me to get to the next destination or level in my journey. I've only worked a regular job for 2 years out of the last 9 years and the rest of the time was freelancing as a consultant for men and women of God who PRAYED to God for help with their vision that God had given to them. God would send me to them and I would be obedient to do what I know to do in excellence and that is SERVE in administration and consulting. The challenging thing about this is I've never been paid what I'm TRULY worth! I've accepted each and every assignment according to the budget that the person who prayed for help could afford. It has been the most challenging thing in the world for me to serve God's lambs and sheep for the last 9 years and work basically for peanuts! LOL! But all the while I would hear God tell me...."I Will Make Your Name Great...if you are faithful over a few..." Now that was the "catch!" LOL! Being FAITHFUL over a "FEW!" Although I've heard that statement in my spirit over and over for the last 9 years I didn't really understand what did God mean by I will make your name great? But now after years of sowing into other people's dreams and serving in excellence on a extremely limited budget I get it now! The photo above was taken while I was singing a solo part for my dearest BFF #2 Tonya Lewis-Taylor of EARS Music Group and Entertainers 4 Education Alliance. She is a rising star in the Gospel music industry recently performing at GMWA-Gospel Music Workshop of America NY Chapter and National Convention just this past week! She asked me to sing on her live album recording and her first appearance on TBN's JCTV at the NY Studios. We have been singing together for years and co-labor together as ministers at First Step Ministry Church of Christ Disciples of Christ Church as Associate Ministers where her mother Dr. Dorothy Lewis is the pastor at a small storefront church with a membership all of 25 people. Never could we have imagined that after years of singing faithfully every Sunday if front of our congregation that on the average of 10 that attend religiously and five fall asleep at the same time every week that one day we would be singing songs from her live album on TBN taped live before a standing room only audience and soon before millions of people for the first time this Saturday, July 27, 2013. We both had tears in our eyes when we realized that in the dressing room two month ago when we taped this show! We were faithful over a few and now God will make our names GREAT!

I share all of this to say...even in the mist of the hardest part of your journey God sees you and is perfecting you for your moment for God to make your name GREAT! You may be on your last dime, no food to eat, don't have money for gas and it's the beginning of the week and you don't get paid until Friday, you may not have enough money for a bus pass to get around the city, you may not have gas fair to pay someone to carpool for the week, you may be out of work and you have eviction notice, you may have lost your job and no severance pay and so on....but I'm a living, breathing witness that there is nothing too hard for God to fix and there isn't anything that is going on in your life that God doesn't know about! HELLO SOMEBODY!!! So if you are thinking crying and whining is gonna get God's attention you are sadly mistaken. Do you want to know what gets God's attention in the mist of a storm or famine....two things THANKFULNESS & TRUST in God! Faith pleases God but if you want to get God's attention thank HIM for what you are going through and trust in HIM that HE will get you out of your situation!

If you read the Holy Bible you will see in the Old Testament story after story from Abraham to Moses to Jacob to Gideon to King David that God always gave a test, watched what HIS children would do and then waited for them to ask HIM for help and TRUST in HIM that HE would get them out and provide their every need! In order for God to make your name GREAT you must decrease so that GOD can be increased in your life and to make you purposeful for HIM and then God can make your name GREAT! Greatness is already within us all it just take "Character Building" experience for us to see the greatness that lies within us and for God to present you to the world once you know that the greatness in you has nothing to do with YOU but everything to do with GOD!

Celebrating our 3rd Anniversary on Blogger.com!!! Blessings, P.I.N.K. Diamonds! I never would have imagined that so much would come from me starting this blog three years ago on July 22, 2010 while living with my brother in Houston, TX! LOL! I was right in the mist of my spiritual journey following exactly what God wanted me to do in complete obedience and it was so very challenging! I was attending World Changers Church Houston and named the Music Administrator/Praise Team Leader. I wasn't working a day job an applying for work every single day and signed up with five different temp agencies calling in every week hoping that I would get work! I kept praying to God to please open a door for financial blessings to come pouring down upon me and for me to continue to be obedient to HIS will for my life. But I prayed that prayer for months and I never got called in for work but every need was met for me, my daughter and my brother. I thank God for my brother helping me throughout my journey from 2005 to 2012! For seven years even though he didn't understand what I was going through he was my guardian angel and assisted me when I needed him the most! My brother's name so fitting is Gabriel! LOL! And what's so amazing as he watched my journey he soon went on his own and remembered how I handled myself and he pressed on through his own spiritual development and growth! Today three years later... I am living in NYC, an Associate Minister at First Step Ministry Church of Christ Disciples of Christ in Brooklyn where I've preached my 1st sermon as a Teacher in May 2013 and on path to become an Elder, completed my debut on Off-Broadway, dating a man I adore tremendously, performed on TBN's JCTV, on the cover of BBW Beauties as the 2013 April Covergirl, 2013 National Spokesperson/Director of Ambassadors/Integrity Beauty Woman of Grace for Integrity Beauty Woman of Excellence, preparing to take my Phyllis Hyman tribute to Broadway and soon release an Ep of my live performances in 2012-13 and appear in films and more television in the very near future. Whew!

I started Diva's Diamonds-Words to Inspire, Empower and Encourage three years ago because I was so led to share with others who may be in search of spiritual enlightenment when trying to maintain their physical lives working and existing on earth! As spiritual beings in human bodies it is so important that we feed both our natural and supernatural self! I totally understood that during my 9 year journey! I endured so much in 2010 with battles with my family who didn't believe in my decision to follow Christ all the way even if it meant giving up my worldly possessions, giving my daughter to my aunt to take care of her while I traveled from Chicago to New Orleans to Washington, DC to Conroe, TX to do what God had for me to do. I was in a shelter in Chicago but it was also a part of a Bible Program that was in conjunction with Moody Bible Institute and "Shackled" the longest running Christian radio theater program with Pacific Garden Mission that is over 150 years ago serving the Chicagoland community. My family tried to commit me in August 2010 an insane asylum in Houston, TX because they just didn't believe I was sane in my decision to press on no matter how bad it got for me I just believe God would get me out and take me through and in three days I was released out of the asylum with a clean bill of mental health. During that time I was in the asylum I wrote the entire "Love Is" P.I.N.K. Diamonds Collection eBook. God just poured into my heart what love was and I had to walk in LOVE no matter what was thrown at me by family, friend or foe! Then my father died in December of 2010 and I was devastated. I didn't really get to know him because I grew up away from him in Houston and he spent all of his life in New York City. I cried "If Only" tears for days because I wanted to know my Daddy and I knew I never would, yet God made a way out of no way to send me and my brother up to his "Homegoing" Service because he was saved in Christ Jesus before he died. Through all of that I blogged on Diva's Diamonds and I healed through my writing by sharing my journey and words divinely given to me by God Almighty! Even with all of that I was a plus model, beauty queen, online radio personality, author, vocalist and minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God would not allow me to show my hurt, disappointments, sadness, despair, weariness or doubts before the world because HE would say, "Ministry doesn't stop! No matter what the world throws at you keep serving to the very end. Just as I served while hanging on the cross and slowly bleeding to death I invited one last soul to Paradise!" Glory to God! I never forgot those words Jesus spoke into my spirit and so I pressed on! It's amazing that it was only three years ago because at the time it was the hardest thing I've ever gone through and I thought I would never get through the heartbreak or the hurt but I'm a living witness that God is a HEALER! I asked for both forgiveness against those who wronged me and to healed from my heartbreak and God answered my prayers!

We are celebrating our 3rd Anniversary on Blogger.com!

Three years is a major milestone for me because I remember when I was in college attending Prairie View A&M University, a part of the Texas A&M University system, I would think to myself how in the world am I going to continue on? This is so hard and I feel like I'm not getting anywhere taking all of these classes but the classes that I need to take aren't offered until different semesters of the the year. I've felt this similar way writing this blog because my enthusiasm to write more consistently has fallen off throughout this year only because of all that I've been trying to do and hoping to do in my life has not panned out and I just wouldn't express myself through this blog as I had planned to do. God reminded me that I have to press on towards the mark no matter what. Just as I had to do when I was in college I have to be the same way with this blog! So many P.I.N.K. Diamonds worldwide are reading this blog and blessing hundreds of thousands of people in a mighty way. So I can't allow my discouragement of how my life is going to stop me for ministering through this blog! I am so very thankful for this blog and ALL of you who read it! I ask for your forgiveness in not sharing more of myself throughout the year as I really should have done. I promise to blog more and to just give what God has told me to do for all are in need to be inspired, empowered and encouraged to become FLAWLESS!

Here's a Gift from Me to YOU!

It's Diva's Diamonds 3rd Anniversary and I'm so very honored to share with you all on this blog! I thank you all for your support, love, prayers and loyalty in reading faithfully for the last three years! You are totally appreciated and LOVED by me truly! I want to say this to those who are in the mist of their journey and it's really becoming very challenging for you! When I was not working, no income in sight and solely relying on God's sons and daughters who were obedient to giving me money when the Lord led them to sow into me and my ministry what kept me going in my darkest hour was knowing that God had not forgotten me! I would hear a whisper from the Holy Spirit telling me that God has NOT forgotten me and that I will get past this test because God knew me before I was created in my mother's womb and knew exactly what I could and could not handle! Even in the mist of tears of frustration and not having any money, food, a job, a love of my life, a place to call my own or new clothes or shoes to wear I was constantly reminded that this too shall pass. I must be thankful and ready for my next blessing that would lead to my overflow at God's divine timing!

Strength of a Woman by Queen Diva 6-21-13

Strength of a Woman...It's Sensational Saturday and I'm reflecting on the last six months of 2013...I've done a lot towards #LIVINGMYDREAMN2013! This has been my MANTRA so far in conjunction with my 2013 MOTTO, "PLAN, PREPARE AND PROCEED!" I have been speaking about my tribute to Phyllis Hyman called, "Strength of a Woman: A Phyllis Hyman Tribute" for half a year now! Finally on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 4 pm I will perform my tribute to Phyllis Hyman! It is also Phyllis Hyman's birthday! This journey towards making this tribute a reality has truly tested my own "strength" in more way than I could ever imagine! My inner strength has grown in patience, wisdom and love working on this project as I researched the life of Phyllis Hyman and understanding her battle with mental illness that led her to end her life in 1995. Her strength wavered for many years with the distractions of drugs, alcohol, food, men, women and so much more. If only she knew Jesus...If only she had a close and personal relationship with Jesus and put all of her cares upon HIM...that is a thought I kept thinking over and over as I read more and more about Phyllis Hyman's life.

I'm doing this tribute to give closure to her "Phans" as we are affectionately known worldwide who LOVE Phyllis Hyman. Many "Phans" didn't know about her mental illness. She was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder at time when there wasn't the advancements in treatment or detection. Phyllis Hyman tried many medications that just didn't work for her as well as she tried to self-medicate with other vices that ultimately led her to go in and out of rehab. During my tribute I will celebrate her life as a Vocalist, Businesswoman, Friend, Sister and Jazz/R&B Legend who never felt she got her just due while she was on earth. But on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Metropolitan Room at 4 pm located at 34 West 22nd Street (Bet 5th & 6th Avenue) I will give tribute to honor this wonderful songstress named Phyllis Hyman. The "Strength of this Woman" was her music and we are all blessed that she left a wonderful catalog of music for us all to listen to for years and years to come.

Today's Diva's Diamonds..."What A Difference A Year Makes!" Today is my daughter Gabrielle NaShanti aka Clay Madison's Sweet 16 Birthday and I'm so amazed at her growth, maturity, beauty and talents! She actually took the photo that is display on the cover of BBW Beauties Magazine April 2013 issue and I am featured in a four page spread! I surprised her this evening by showing her the credits of the magazine! It's just amazing what a difference a year makes!

One year ago today I arrived back in NYC and was stranded at downtown Brooklyn Atlantic Avenue Subway station with no way to get uptown with all of my luggage because of a musical and business opportunity that was promised to me was suddenly taken away from me without warning once I arrived in NYC from San Antonio by way of Houston, TX. I was devastated because I had trusted and believed in the words of a friend I had known for over 15 years that our partnership in recording, touring and performance would come to pass. I thank God for my BFF #1 Ayanda Sunshine for allowing me to come into her home to regroup and figure out how to get my belongs uptown to stay with my mother in the Bronx.

I was numb and in shock when that happened to me initially and I couldn't believe that it was happening to me because I prayed and prayed for 8 years to move back to NYC after years of living in Texas and to work professionally in the music industry. BUT GOD!!! Everything in life if purposeful and God strips away opportunities for a reason. I eventually got uptown to stay with my mother and daughter, was offered a job to consult my BFF#2, Tonya Lewis-Taylor with her non-profit drop prevention program, slowly began singing in the NYC music scene and then just slowly watched God work things out in my favor!

It's a year later and I've performed at the Metropolitan Room, Sugar Bar, The Pyramid, Toshi's Living Room & Penthouse, Shrine World Music Venue, Sullivan Hall and recorded a live performance on TBN Studios in NYC along with my BFF#2, Tonya Lewis-Taylor who recorded a live Gospel album in December 2012 and is now promoting her single "THANK YOU!" I was so blessed to sing on that recording as a lead and background vocalist on her recording! I am also an Associate Minister at First Step Ministry Church of Christ Disciples of Christ in Brooklyn, NY where I preached/taught my first sermon, "Woman...Thou Art Loosed...A.C.T. Like I.T." and my latest single "Is U In" is in the Top 100 R&B chart on Reverbnation.com! Lately I'm preparing for my Off-Broadway debut performing a tribute, "Strength of a Woman: A Phyllis Hyman Tribute," to the Legendary and Iconic Jazz/R&B songstress Phyllis Hyman on July 6, 2013 at the Metropolitan Room which is Ms. Hyman's birthday!

I have to say that in the mist of everything falling apart a year ago I never would have imagined that God had all of this in store for me and HE constantly tells me, "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet!" LOL! I'm in awe and just so very blessed to finally begin to see "beauty for my ashes!" I never understood that phrase until the last few weeks! I've felt for the last 9 years of my life that it has been so very challenging and disappointing. I was getting weary and wondering when will my breakthrough for all of the tears and sowing that I've been doing will ever blossom into something beautiful and flourish in abundance! Now I'm beginning to see God answer prayers that I prayed on 5, 10, 20 years ago!!! I can definitely say that God answers prayer, yet not on our time but HIS divine timing!

What a Difference a Year Makes!!! I can shout that out to the rooftops! LOL! I want to encourage those of you who are in the mist of the hardest part of your 2013 to keep going, blessing God, preparing for what's next, staying faithful and immovable, trusting in the LORD all the way and knowing that God's PERFECT timing is all that matters not our own! Glory to God!

Peace & Love...I wanted to just take a moment to bless you all WORLDWIDE on Sensational Saturday with Peace & Love! It's amazing how those two words can just bring a smile to your face and warm your heart at the same time! I'm actually at home relaxing after an afternoon with my 15 year old daughter walking and window shopping in Harlem, NYC, U.S.A. I'm truly enjoying an amazingly beautiful day! I tend to become so busy being busy that I neglect to just take the time to enjoy NYC and just buy very simple things that give me pleasure! LOL! I'm sure you all know what I mean! If you don't what I mean is there are times that we just get so busy doing everything we know to do to get ahead, be successful or more successful and forget to just spend quality time either alone or with a loved one and enjoy buying an ice cream sandwich or taking your child out to lunch!

That's what I did today and I haven't done that in a really long time! I was reminded by God that HE wants us to seek HIM and spend time with HIM. Every single day that God wakes you up in the morning HE's waiting on you to just say, "Good Morning, God! Thank you for blessing me to see another day. What would you have me to do for your glory today?" Or perhaps there is something that you need to complete that God has told you to finish or just quiet time just listening to God speak to you softly and quietly in your spirit. If you don't hear God then pray that God will reveal HIMSELF to you through scripture, television show, book or a family or friend who walks in the Lord. As you draw closer to God the HE will reveal to you Peace & Love like you've never known!

I know I'm talking to someone out there who has not taking the time to just get to know God and ask HIM what does HE want to talk about and share with you daily! I want to encourage you to be obedient in spending quiet time with God. Strive to do this daily and not make it a chore, but to purposefully want to have a talk with God.

Strength of a Woman: My Phyllis Hyman Tribute on Broadway...It's been a while since my last post! Please forgive me for the lapse in my updates! I have been extremely busy with my clients...letting some go and working with another closely with a CD release party, press releases, photo shoots and so on. Also, I've been preparing for my own Off-Broadway debut coming in May 2013!!! YAY! This is a dream come true for me and I'm so excited! I've wanted to do a tribute show to one of my biggest musical influences the Legendary Phyllis Hyman for about 7 years! I just prayed about it in December 2012 and ask the Lord to lead me to a venue that I can have my show and I wanted it to be Off or On Broadway as well as be in complete control of the creative direction! Well, God answered my prayer! AMEN! I will be presenting "Strength of a Woman: A Tribute to Phyllis Hyman" at the Metropolitan Room on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 7 pm, which is the #1 Jazz Cabaret venue in Manhattan! I recruited Tracy Stark, a multi MAC & Bistro Award-winning Musical Director/Pianist, and I'm doing all of the promotions, marketing and musical direction! Whew!

I asked for this and what a challenge this has been! I'm merely a month and a half away from my debut and I'm still getting sponsors for my show! I never imagined in a million years that a year after I returned back to NYC I would be scheduled to perform at a premier venue Off Broadway after years of singing in juke joints, holes-in-the-walls, empty chairs at open mics because I would be next to last to sing and karaoke shows where people were talking louder than I was singing! LOL! I know all that I endured for so many years were "character building experiences" and to toughen my skin for criticism both constructive and non-constructive!

I share my testimony for you all because I sense that many of you are still wondering if you will ever have your dream fulfilled? I'm here to tell you with a resounding YES, IT SHALL COME TO PASS! I've waiting for the last 9 years to be able to sing again the way that I've always dreamed in NYC and the promises of God that I've held in my spirit are slowly coming to pass! I've always wanted to be on Broadway on my terms and this is my opportunity! Granted I'm doing all of the work without a budget but I'm reminded constantly that GOD IS MY SOURCE and NOT MAN! All I have to do is my part and allow God to do HIS! AMEN! GLORY TO GOD! I can't be concerned with what I don't have right now all I can do is know my music in excellence, prepare my monologues that I want to present in conjunction to the songs that I've selected that are my favorite by Ms. Hyman, sing where God leads me to sing to get exposure and talk to everyone I know about becoming a Ticket, Product, Service or Monetary Sponsor for the show!

What I find interesting is not everyone is willing to actually participate in helping you with your dream but they are supportive with words of encouragement! I can never be mad about positiveness but when I ask people I know have money and they won't help I find that odd. But then God reminds me that not everyone is meant to be with you at the beginning of your dream laying the foundation. Many people like to watch you build first and then they will join the party once everything is laid down and formed. While others would rather just watch you do it all on your own.

I get that. I believe all of this strengthens me. There's definitely strength in the power of NO! LOL! I'm learning that both being told that by close friends and strangers! I can say I was disappointed but at the same time anything that will prepare me for the GREATNESS and ELEVATION that God has for me I welcome with open arms! Disappointment comes and goes but the conditioning that is happening in the NO will last a lifetime as I walk in VICTORY for the rest of my days on earth! I get that now and I hope that sharing my testimony on my progression for my show will help you too! I realize that as I research and prepare for this how not only am I finding out about the strength in Phyllis Hyman during her lifetime but also the strength that lye within me to produce, perform and prepare for my debut. "Strength of a Woman" truly comes from within not no matter what the circumstances on the outside....I must press on! AMEN!

Work The Room...I recently performed at a restaurant/lounge in Brooklyn and I have to admit I was a bit uncomfortable because of the environment wasn't what I expected and while I was singing the whole left side of the room was talking which dampen my spirit. But instead of shining my light and love in their direction I ignored them. I posted the video of my performance and I asked my Mommy to take a look. I've had other people look at the footage but only she asked me, "Why didn't you move? Why didn't you "Work The Room?" I told her how I felt and she said, "Daughter, you were sent there to share you LOVE & LIGHT to that venue and you didn't "WORK THE ROOM!" There will be times when you will be sent to  SING and SPEAK and it is your job to "WORK THE ROOM" from the BACK to the SIDES to the FRONT & MIDDLE!" The FRONT & MIDDLE are already with you but it's your job to get the "BACK AND SIDES" along for the ride too!

My Mommy opened my eyes to something I knew but I didn't want to tackle! Isn't that what we all do? We get into a situation knowing what's going on and we allow FOOLISHNESS to abound and just tolerate it to get through it but never take the time to address that the FOOLISHNESS needs to be addressed and dealt with at that moment! I could have turned towards that side of the room and WON them over but I didn't want to go through the hassle so I ignored them and they in turn ignored me. So there was a lost connection that could have happened between us.

What's really amazing is my FB Hubby Nic Few, Actor/Director & Diva's Diamonds Beautiful Person of the Day 1-26-11, told me these simple but profound words before I left for the gig, "SING WELL...MAKE THEM HEAR YOU!" 

I failed to do that in the entire room and I learned my lesson! I'm sharing this with you because many times when we come to a place that we are either disappointed by the environment or the people in the room we tend to shut down instead of embracing where we are and giving LOVE. Everyone needs LOVE no matter who they are and how bad their behavior may be towards YOU. If you are a leader and a light of God then it is your responsibility to share your LIGHT unto the WORLD so that GOD may be GLORIFIED in all that you say and do!

I want to encourage you ALL to "WORK THE ROOM" everywhere you go no matter the situation! I will do the same and never allow how I may feel to stop me from giving LOVE & LIGHT to ALL!

I See You! by Queen Diva

I See You...It's Sensational Saturday, P.I.N.K. Diamonds! Have you ever just looked at your friends or even family members for the first time and think...You are truly an AMAZING person!?!  I thought of Bruno Mars' song "Just The Way You Are" and I found this spectacular accapella version of his song by Nota who were NBC's Sing Off 1st Champions! Every time I listen to this I just SMILE!!! LOL!

I just did that with one of my dear friends of almost three years and we've never met in person or even talked on the phone but we are connected every day almost all day long online! I mean this person knows me better than anyone that has known me my entire life and for the FIRST time today the scales on my eyes were lifted and I saw my dear friend for the FIRST time! I truly felt like how Lois Lane must have felt when Clark Kent took off his glasses and she looked at him for the first time and saw SUPERMAN! LOL! WOW! I felt honored to know this person and completely CLUELESS to whom I was talking to all these years! If you've ever heard Pastor Paula White say, "You don't have a clue who you are sitting next to!" That statement rang true for me this morning! I share a WORD of the Day with this very same friend every single morning and the word today was REFLECTION! 

P.I.N.K. Diamonds I want to encourage you all to do the same before you go any further into 2013! REFLECTION can mean both seeing your image in a mirror or thinking about things in your mind. I recommend highly that you ALL do BOTH! If you want to go further than you've ever gone before in your life, achieve more success than you've ever imagined and have the financial security you've always dreams it all starts with REFLECTION! You have to look at yourself and fully assess who you are, what you want to become, where you want to go and how you can get there? You can not go any further in your life doing the same thing and wanting different results! It's just not in the Law of Success! It's time for YOU to REFLECT on what you've done, what you want to accomplish this year and then NIKE=JUST DO IT!

God SEES YOU! Yes, each and everyday of your life God sees everything thing that you DO and DO NOT! Sometimes God shakes His head with a FROWN and other times He nods His head with a SMILE looking at YOU! Yes, YOU reading this post right now! YOU are AMAZING just the way you are! Yet there is always room for improvement! AMEN! LOL!

Living My Dreams in 2013! by Queen Diva

Living My Dreams in 2013...This is my MANTRA for the entire year of 2013!! For so many years I've assisted others to make their dreams a REALITY! This year it's all about making my dreams come true! I'm determined now more than ever to make this happen! After years and years and years of writing proposals, lesson plans, press kits, music reviews, business plans, business proposals, agendas, itineraries and programs it's now time for me to do all of that for my dreams! From October 2012 to December 2012 I was on a strict VEGAN FAST and I prayed and listened to God for CLARITY on what HE wanted from me and what I needed to focus on in 2013! Now it is January 2013 and I am moving full speed ahead with my well laid plans to achieve all that I prayed about and what God has revealed to me for 2013 and beyond!

I know that I am to travel, sing, record, write books and plays, I am to meet my husband, move into my wealthy place and begin to really build my empire in EXCELLENCE! It's time now! These last 9 years of my life have been incredible with the "journey" I have been on in ministry and in my career. I know now that everything is purposeful including the hardest and lowest points of my life! I will write a book about it in hopes that it will help others who embark on a similar journey will have wisdom and knowledge getting through it and will be able to help others!

These are crazy times in the world and it's going to get even crazier, but God is always in control and there is a lesson to be learned in everything that we say and do in our lifetime. I know now  more than ever that my dreams are to come true in this year for this is my season to blossom. For many years I was underground hidden from the world and not seen by anyone but GOD. Now God tells me it is now my turn to be seen and known by the nations and for God to be glorified in ALL that I say and do!

I want to encourage all of you who may be on the brink of working on your own dreams to "Decide, Plan and Proceed" with your DREAMS! If this is your year of ELEVATION then I want to tell just as the sneaker shoe brand once said, "JUST DO IT!" God has equipped you with all that you need to do to be successful. Anything that you don't have right now God will provide when the time is needed!
