Diva's Diamonds: TIME by Queen Diva 9-15-11

 

 Today's Diva's Diamonds:
 I can't stop listening to this song called "TIME" by Billy Porter, who is a phenomenal Broadway singer, recorded some years ago. I first heard it watching this video from the hugely popular "So You Think You Can Dance" Season 3 episode shown above four years ago. Mia Michaels, a wonderful choreographer, who created this modern dance as a tribute to her dancing with her father, who passed away of Lung Cancer two years prior to this show, and this dance brought tears to my eyes that day. But even so much more now that my own father passed last December 2010 from complications of Lung Cancer with Pneumonia. I thought of this video when I had a random thought that I never got a chance to dance with my Dad when he was alive. Watching this video again just two days ago I was in tears but smiling holding my heart thinking what it would be like to dance with my father in Heaven.

Although our TIME on earth together was very limited I cherished every moment I had with my Father. TIME is so very precious and I just wanted to remind you today that your TIME on earth should be purposeful. Don't ever assume that you don't matter or that no one loves you or misses you because that is simply not true. There is someone who is madly in love with you. There is someone who looks forward to your tweets or posts on various social networks every day. There is someone who waits to see you walk by them everyday. There is even someone hoping to meet you in person one day. Take the TIME everyday to not only be thankful for another day but to WIN or FAIL because that is your chance to LEARN, GROW and become a better YOU.

TIME waits for no one and your TIME is very valuable because you will soon wake up one day and all the TIME you thought you had will be GONE. I challenge you to take a moment to enjoy, embrace, be purposeful, be diligent, be appreciative, be mindful and considerate of TIME. God is the author and finisher of TIME not man so don't you think it's TIME to use your TIME wisely?

Diva's Diamonds Beautiful Person of the Week:

Leila Luliana da Costa Vieira Lopes...The newly crowned Miss Universe 2011 on Monday, September 12, 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil now the former Miss Angola 2011! She is the 4th African woman to win the Miss Universe title and the 1st Miss Angola to win! Miss Lopes was born February 26, 1986 on Benguela Province, Angola by Cape Verdean Parents. Lopes was crowned Miss Angola 2011 on October 8, 2010 in Angola, UK and now Miss Universe 2011. Lopes is a Business Management student in Great Britain. Her win as Miss Angola 2011 caused protests under the Angolan community in Great Britain, who criticized that Leila Lopes at that time was not a resident in the UK. Although there may have been controversy in Angola there was nothing but favor and praise for her at the 2011 Miss Universe Pageant in Brazil!

She is beautiful not just because of her physical beauty but because she has a pure love and hope for people and serving as Miss Angola 2011 and now Miss Universe 2011. She wants to use her title to to assist her native country of Angola further escape its history of war and impoverishment with plans to focus on combating HIV around the globe. She is both gracious and loving to all of her admires and well wishers. I had the opportunity to congratulate her on Facebook the day she was crowned as Inaugural Integrity Beauty Woman of Grace 2011 and she immediately thanked me! So much is in store for this lovely queen who has been crowned Miss Universe 2011 for such a time as this! I bow in honor of a fellow queen all the way from Houston, Texas USA!

Edward Regan "Eddie" Murphy...An American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, singer, director, and musician. Box office takes from Murphy's films make him the second-highest grossing actor in the United States. He has received Golden Globe Award nominations for his performances in 48 Hrs, Beverly Hills Cop series, Trading Places, and The Nutty Professor. In 2007, he won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor and received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of soul singer James "Thunder" Early in Dreamgirls.^[5]
Murphy's work as a voice actor includes Thurgood Stubbs in The PJs, Donkey in the Shrek series and the dragon Mushu in Disney's Mulan. His talent has taken him all over the world and made him millions of dollars to provide for his large family and friends comfortably. He has staying power that many comedians and actors are not able to duplicate. The world will be watching his hosting debut in 2012 at the Oscars with great anticipation to LAUGH out loud hysterically!

Diva's Diamonds: What Are You Birthing Out This Month? by Queen Diva 9-4-11

Today's Diva's Diamonds:
September 2011 has finally arrived and the season of Fall is in the air! It is the 9th month of the year! Usually the amount of time that a human being births out a child is 9 months. Nine "Fruits of the Spirit" are essential for all Christians to birth out a peaceful, prosperous, loving and abundant life! For some Christians it may take years to birth out the "Fruits of the Spirit" through trials, tribulations and tests! What are "Fruits of the Spirit?" They are gifts given to Christians by the Holy Spirit ordained by God to give to grow and be purposeful in their lives on Earth. What are the gifts you may ask? They are found in the Book of Galatians 5:22-23 in the Holy Bible and they are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. These are the same "fruits" that people bless others with every day when then say Peace & Love! It's so important as you grow in your relationship with God the Father that you are tested and pass the tests to receive these "Fruits of the Spirit" throughout your lifetime. The "Birthing" process is always painful and never easy, but it is necessary for all Christians to grow in to their fullest potential and to be used by God as a vessel!

What are you "Birthing Out" this September? Have you sowed your seeds of faith in that job you wanted by taking classes either online or at a continuing education course? Have you joined every employment agency and asked for referrals from friends and family about leads? Have you started your own business being creative and helping elderly people with their lawns, Christmas lights to be taken down or taking them grocery shopping once a month? Have you networked with church members, former co-workers, networking mixers/groups? Is there an educational goal you always wanted to pursue but you put it to the side because you were taking care of every one else's dream but your own? Is it time for you to go back to school and start by taking free classes online from Yale University? Just Google "Yale Free Courses" and begin to learn courses you never thought you could afford to take that help you start a business, ministry or encourage you to go back to school full time!

We have far too much technology and information for us not to be "Birthing Out" something in September 2011! You may not have done anything all year long to birth out something but it's not too late! When you are tested by losing a job, loved one, money, home, apartment, belongings all of those are tests in the spirit combined together help you with your spiritual growth so you may be closer to "Birthing Out" something than you think! You may be "Birthing Out" faithfulness, self-control or PATIENCE! I challenge you to assess what have you done all year long and discover what is it that you are to "Birth Out" in this month of September 2011!
